The Arts in the Middle Juried Fine Arts Festival returns to historic Hewick Plantation near Urbanna June 3-4, 2023. It’s an annual destination place for lovers of art, as well as an outstanding outdoor event. The ninth annual arts extravaganza provides a variety of fine visual, performing, and culinary arts for all ages.

The festival features juried visual artists from up and down the East Coast and beyond, plus local and student artists galleries. Two stages offer an array of musicians including local favorites Beth Justice, Clayton Neal and the Tom Euler Trio. Local culinary artist Adam Ginsberg with SouperChefG's Homemade Soups and Private Chef Service will offer breakfast and lunch.
Admission to the festival and parking is FREE. The event runs Saturday from 10-5 p.m. and Sunday from 10-3 p.m. Visitors will find signage along area roads directing them to the parking area, where they will be assisted and directed by members of the Middlesex Kiwanis Club.
If interested, there are a variety of ways to help our show. We’re still in need of a few host homes if you have an extra bedroom, room over the garage or a guest house. We're looking for volunteers if you have a few hours to spare Saturday or Sunday. If you’d like to sponsor or donate to this year’s festival, please visit artsinthemiddle.com or email us at artsinthemiddlefestival@gmail.com.
